In an interview for April's issue of Glamour magazine, actress Kate Winslet revealed her most powerful beauty secret: Self-acceptance.
Contrary to most famous faces, she says she has never tried and has no interest in trying botox or plastic surgery, explaining:
"I have never tried any of that stuff. I don’t have parts of my body that I hate or would like to trade for somebody else’s or wish I could surgically adjust into some fantasy version of what they are."
We don't think she will need to try it either.
Despite being called "Blubber" while struggling with weight when growing up, she has managed to become one of the worlds most beautiful faces and was even named Glamour magazine's "No. 1 Most Glam celebrity".
While reflecting on her childhood weight struggles, she said:
"You know, I will tell you that when I was heavy, people would say to me — and it was such a backhanded comment — they would say, 'You’ve got such a beautiful face,' in the way of, like, 'Oh, isn’t it a shame that from the neck down you’re questionable.' Looking back on it, I really wasn’t that heavy. I was just stockier than the other sporty, whippy-looking kids."
We're sure you weren't either, but guess what? Those people are eating their words now because, well, you're Kate Winslet!
How does she maintain that perfect hourglass figure?
She keeps it simple with a combination of workout DVDs, running and Pilates.
Contrary to her honors as the most glam celeb, Kate prefers looking anything but glamourous on the silver screen. She told the magazine:
"I love it when a character requires me to look less than my red-carpet best. It’s more fun playing a character that requires you to look like dog s—."
We bet! But we know you can play any character you want, regardless of their appearance.
