Sweet Potatoes Enhancing Lives Of Africans

In Burkina Faso, a small village in Africa, people have to cherish the small things in life — like sweet potatoes.
Vitamin A deficiency is the leading cause of preventable blindness in the world, and orange sweet potatoes have a lot of it.
Said Fatiba, a village native and mother of three:
"The orange sweet potato has Vitamin A. Our white sweet potato does not. I want my family to eat the orange one to make them healthier."
In America, sweet potato fries are a novel side dish, in Africa they’re a way of life.
Good to put things in perspective every once in while.
