Redline Power Rush, an energy shot similar to 5-Hour Energy, boasts 7 hours of energy, but has so much caffeine (326mg), the company's website warns to only drink half of the shot and keep away from minors!
The product also recommends that those with family histories of high blood pressure, enlarged prostates, glaucoma, or any one of six other ailments, need to consult a physician before use
Save yourself the check-up and drink Sugar-Free Red Bull instead. It offers the same low-cal advantage with a more reasonable amount of caffeine (75mg).
Amp Energy is a soda/energy drink hybrid that contains 220 calories, 58 grams of sugar, and 142 mg of caffeine. Downing one 16 oz. can is the equivalent of pouring 14 spoonfuls of sugar down your throat.
Consider Xenergy Mango Guava instead, which has more caffeine, all of the natural additives and none of the sugar or calories.
For those who just can't get enough of Starbucks, try to get away from Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino, which is loaded with 290 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 46 grams of sugar, and only 108 mg of caffeine.
Instead, check out Rockstar Roasted Coffee + Energy Light Vanilla with a third of the calories, a third of the sugar, and double the caffeine!
Be especially weary of Vault Red Blitz which is what some experts consider to be diabetes in a bottle if over-indulged upon.
