Lu Hao, a 3-year-old toddler in China, weighs 132 pounds and gained 22 of those during the last year alone.
Doctors thought his excessive weight gain may have been due to a hormone disorder, but a trip to a specialist has proven the boys hormones to be normal.
Continually baffled by the toddler's insatiable hunger and weight gain, doctors believe the fact that he was born underweight at 5.7 pounds may have something to do with it.
Others are no doubt looking at the parents who say their son can eat three big bowls of rice at a sitting and "cries nonstop" if denied what he wants.
Despite what you may be thinking, Lu Hao's parents have tried to curb their child's appetite and encourage physical activity, but their efforts are thwarted by the massive child's massive temper tantrums.
Ugh! We realize it is hard to say "no" to your children, but they can't always get what they want, ESPECIALLY if it is hurting them!
Looking past over-eating as the issue, some think the boy's symptoms describe Prader-Willi syndrome, which leaves children with extreme cravings for food as a result of a missing gene on part of chromosome 15.
Whatever the problem is, we hope Lu Hao's parents and doctors can come up with a solution for this poor child before it's too late!
