Ina Garten Will Make Wish Come True For Cancer-Stricken Boy

After snubbing the Make-A-Wish Foundations request for the Food Network star to have a cooking session with a cancer-stricken 6-year-old boy, Ina Garten has FINALLY agreed to make Enzo Pereda's wish come true.

A spokesperson for the Barefoot Contessa star, said:

"Ina became aware of Enzo's story this weekend and will be calling him today. She looks forward to inviting him to spend some time with her at the Food Network studios."

Hey, better late than never, right?

It sounds like Ina had her reasons though as the spokesperson's statement continued:

"Ina receives approximately 100 requests a month to support charitable causes that deeply affect peoples' lives. She contributes both personally and financially on a regular basis to numerous causes, including to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Sadly, it's of course not possible to do them all. Throughout her life, Ina has contributed generously to all kinds of important efforts and she will continue to do so."

The boy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis three years ago and frequently watches Ina while laying in bed.

Despite his wish being refused TWICE in the past, his mom insists, "He STILL loves 'The Contessa.'"

So much so, in fact, that when given the chance to change his wish after it seemed slim that the chef would ever have time to meet him, he said "I will wait."

Aww! Ina, we hope you realize what a truly special fan you have here. He waited to meet you even when he wasn't even sure how much time he would have left to wait!

We hope Enzo's experience with Ina is everything and more than he ever wanted!
