FDA To Study Link Between Food Coloring, Hyperactivity

Bad news, parents — food coloring may affect your child’s attention deficit disorder.

The FDA is conducting a study to find out if there’s a link between the consumption of food coloring and an increase in hyperactivity in children. They recently voted against putting labels on packages warning consumers about potential risks.

Experts say that while food coloring appears to exacerbate hyperactivity in kids who already have attention deficit disorder, it isn’t the underlying cause of ADD.

If you have a kid with ADD, keep an eye on this story!
