Woman Can't Close Her Eyes After Plastic Surgery
Ouchies!
A New Jersey woman is suing a plastic surgeon because she can't close her eyes after a surgery to correct bumps on her eyelids from a cosmetic procedure performed by another doctor.
However, the doctor maintains she was warned of the risks and she never complained after the 2005 eyelid surgery called a blepharoplasty.
The plaintiff's lawyer played the opinion of another doctor who said she wasn’t a good candidate for this surgery because she had had too many other procedures, about which the woman said:
“He should have been honest with me and told me I was not a candidate and suggested other options for me."
That sounds pretty awful, but on the other hand, we're not sure who to believe.
We've seen Nip/Tuck and we know how some patients throw all risks to the side while striving for perfection!
The woman says she can't close her eyes — even when she sleeps — and has to "really squeeze" her eyes just to blink.
She says she can not perform regular activities like tennis, racquetball, or swimming (to list a few) because of the injury and is suing for an unspecified amount of money.
