The world has been hit with a SHOCKWAVE of disbelief after the news that VegNews has been using photos of real meat to accompany its vegan recipes.
For example, the “Vegan Spare Ribs” recipe used photos of real meat ribs — with the bones photoshopped out. Another example out of a handful is a picture of real cheese mac & cheese instead of vegan mac & cheese.
As a result of being called out by numerous people, VegNews released a statement on their website, saying that "there are very few specifically vegan images offered by stock companies," and that because of financial restraints they need to sometimes use pics of real meat.
Fair enough, VegNews. BUT, from now on you should specify that the picture being used isn’t vegan!
