Beer is not just a man’s drink, but judging by the TV ads beer companies make you might be inclined to think it is.
Danish brewer Carlsberg is trying to change that with their new gender neutral beer, Copenhagen.
Said Jeanette Elgaard Carlsson, International Innovation Director at Carlsberg:
"We can see that there are a number of consumers, especially women, who are very aware of design when they choose beverage products. There may be situations where they are standing in a bar and want their drinks to match their style. In this case, they may well reject a beer if the design does not appeal to them."
The beer is only 4.5% alcohol, and won’t be rolled out in the US right away, but we may see it soon if it does well overseas!
