A wrestler’s life is not glamorous.
25% (14 out of 51) of the wrestlers who took part in 1991’s Wrestlemania VII have died from various causes, including suicides, murder, and heart attacks. Some were the result of years of anabolic steroid use.
By comparison, none of the 44 starters from the 1991 Superbowl have died.
Wrestling may be “fake,” but the consequences of that lifestyle certainly are not.
