Check again, that salmon you just bought might not be salmon!
According to a recent study, fish sold in the US as red snapper, wild salmon, and Atlantic cod are falsely labeled 25-70% of the time.
So, how do you avoid being cheated without becoming a fish expert?
Be wary of prices that seem way too low — they might be scamming you. Another way to avoid fraud is to buy fish by the fish (i.e. buy an entire fish). No way to fake that!
