This may not tickle everyone's fancy, but it is actually catching on believe it or not.
The world's first "tickle spa" has opened in Spain.
Cosquillarte (translating as Tickle Yourself and Tickle Art) offers a revolutionary way to relax at the hands, fingertips, and feathers of the world's first tickle spa specialists who developed the technique all on their own.
The new treatment, which is creating quite the buzz overseas and is in the beginning stages of franchising, was created by public-relations specialist Isabel Aires with the help of two trained massage therapists.
Isabel says the unique idea spawned from techniques her father used to help her fall asleep as a child, explaining:
"My dad used to tickle me to get me to go to sleep, so it's always relaxed me. One day I just thought, Why can't I pay someone to do this, in the same way as I can pay for a massage?"
Now her brain-child is hooking confirmed ticklephobes as Isabel admits, "Sometimes a new client is a little skeptical at first, but they end up hooked."
Sessions cost $35-$60 for the company's long list of clients with ages ranging between teenagers and senior citizens.
We'd totally try this out if it was available in America and it sounds like it soon will be based on the success Cosquillarte is receiving in Spain!
