She's not getting paid to represent the company anymore, but at least they're still giving her free food!
Carnie Wilson, of musical group Wilson Phillips, was once the face of The Fresh Diet, but after gaining weight while employed by the diet delivery meal service, she was let go in November of 2010.
Despite a cameo in this summers comedy hit Bridesmaids, things have gotten worse for Carnie and her house is rumored to be in foreclosure unless she can pay off a $1.7 million mortage.
Aw! We're so sorry to hear that and we're not alone either. Her former employer is extending Carnie and her family 6 months of free Fresh Diet meals while undergoing these tough times. The company's CEO, Zalmi Duchman, said in a statement:
"Although the endorsement relationship between Carnie and The Fresh Diet was severed due to a conflict of weight-loss progress, we feel for her at this difficult time. Knowing that fresh meals will be planned, prepared and delivered to her family should be of comfort to her. It's an earnest gesture that can benefit her and her family and we hope to oblige."
We truly hope Carnie figures out her finances, but maybe she can use this opportunity to once again take advantage of the Fresh Diet. Before being released from her contract with the company, she reportedly lost 19 pounds!
So sorry to hear about the house, but we hope everything works out for the best!
