This football player is as wild as the animal his team is named after!
Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson has allegedly beaten up his roommate, Charles Clavens, so bad that the man may be missing teeth!
Ugh! So NOT cool!
According to the victim, the NFL player aggressively approached him while standing on a street corner in Austin, Texas and proceeded to say "they needed to talk about their problems."
It sounds like Cedric doesn't understand the concept of talking because before long the victim "was struck on the left side of his face with a closed fist thrown by Benson."
The NFL player continued to pummel his roommate with his fists to the point where Charles Clavens was experiencing "severe bleeding from the mouth, possible loss of teeth and massive swelling of the left cheek."
We realize the players are in the middle of a lockout, but if this guy ever wants to play professional football again, this is no way to show it!
As far as the NFL's opinion on the matter, a rep from the Bengals told sources:
"We don’t believe it’s appropriate even in normal circumstances to comment on legal matters that aren’t resolved, and the factor of the lockout prevents any direct contact with players or their attorneys."
The Bengal, whose contract has actually EXPIRED with the team before the lockout, was arrested, but released on a $10,000 bail. Fortunately for the victim, a judge has ordered the angry football player to stay at least 200 yards away from him at all times.
Let's HOPE the victim of Cedric's rage has found a NEW place to live.
