Does Julianne Hough ever look anything BUT perfect?
The beautiful star of Footloose graced the cover of SELF magazine and shared her workout secrets that keep her looking so good!
"I feel sexy when I'm taking care of myself and not depriving myself," she says.
She may not deprive herself of her favorite food, but it sounds like she makes up for it with plenty of exercise. Sometimes up to six days a week! She explained in the interview:
"I vary my workouts every day because, otherwise, I get bored. I always try to run for 20 to 40 minutes on the beach first. Six days a week is fantastic, but four is great, too."
Those are just her planned workouts too! The former Dancing With The Stars pro loves to stay active during her days off, adding:
"Rollerblading is a serious leg workout! When I have a day off, I want to be outside-unless I'm on my bed with my dogs watching an SVU marathon!"
She's also reveals she's a bit of an adrenaline junkie and regularly mountain bikes, continuing:
"I grew up mountain biking in Utah, and I've been doing it more recently since working in Miami. I crave danger. I find going fast exhilarating! I adore snowboarding, skiing and skydiving."
That explains those defined legs, but to keep her tummy toned Julianne prefers various planking. No, not that stupid trend America has come to love, then hate (thank God!), she's talking about a plank that is actually worth doing!
"My go-to pre-bikini flat-ab move is the plank," she says, "all different types."
It seems that Julianne's key to staying in shape isn't just dedicating a certain amount of time a week to the gym, but living an active and healthy lifestyle full of fun physical activities!
