Last week, we were happy to report that drunk driving incidents have decreased by 30% in last five years, but today we'd like to remind everyone that too many people are STILL driving impaired.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 30 people die in drunk driving-related accidents EVERY DAY! That's one loss of life every 48 minutes and almost 11,000 deaths a year
That's UNACCEPTABLE! As a society, we all need to work together by, firstly, not letting ourselves get behind the wheel while we're drunk and not let others!
This is a friendly reminder to designate a driver before going anywhere where that there will be drinking. Take a friends keys away if they've had too much to drink or have a history of drunk driving. If U drink too much unexpectedly one night, please, take a taxi or call a friend.
Last, but not least, if you're hosting a party take precautions and make sure guests are leaving with a sober driver. If they can't find a ride, at least offer them a couch to crash on instead of crossing your fingers that they don't crash into another car.
ALWAYS drink responsibly.
