In preparation for World Toilet Day this coming Saturday (November 19th), Matt Damon is encouraging you to talk sh*t!
In his PSA for ToiletDay.org — an organization dedicated to providing proper sanitation in developing countries — the actor points out that more people in the world have cell phones than toilets.
In an effort to cut the crap, raise a stink, and put any other poop pun into action, the organization is asking Facebook and Twitter users to allow them to post daily status updates leading up to World Toilet Day.
Supporting their belief that "everyone deserves to take a safe poop", the organization's mission statement reads:
"Every year, we celebrate World Toilet Day to acknowledge the life-saving power of the toilet. Children in poor environments often carry 1,000 parasitic worms in their bodies at any time…Toilets bring dignity, privacy, and safety. For girls, it means they do not have to suffer embarrassment from relieving themselves in public, or drop out of school when menstruation begins. For women, it means they don't have to wait until the cover of darkness, risking rape or an encounter with a wild animal. For families, it means they don't have to suffer pointlessly from disease, but can instead take pride in having a safe place for guests and themselves to take care of business."
