With a memorable name like that, we can't imagine this place NOT becoming an American fast food staple!
Forbes, one of the most notable names in business and financial news, has named an up-and-coming Denver-based burger chain called Smashburger as "America's most promising company."
They note that while there are already thousands of burger joints competing for market space, Smashburger is poised to rise to the top fairly quickly thanks in part to America's insatiable appetite for burgers (13 billion consumed a year) and the company's sensible business approach.
With an average price of $8 per order, Smashburger offers slightly more sophisticated food such as fresh salads, hand-breaded chicken sandwiches, pretzel buns and Häagen-Dazs milk shakes paired with relaxing restaurant ambience where customers can enjoy beer and wine with their meal.
The company's combination of good service, good food, and good employee incentive-based compensation (base pay is $9/hour plus various bonuses for productivity) has led to 143 locations that rake in $54 million annually since launching in 2007.
Not bad for a newbie, right?
If you haven't seen a Smashburger pop up around your stomping grounds yet, you probably won't have to wait long. 450 franchise agreements are already signed and waiting to open on top of the existing locations.
