Such a great speech!
Not only is what Barack Obama saying about AIDS and HIV in America completely true, it has to completely change!
The president took the podium on World AIDS Day to address the fact that while the rest of the world is successfully reducing the rate of new HIV infections, they are remaining steady or even increasing in some communities here.
After announcing his commitment to "win this fight" against the disease, Obama admitted it is far from over and continued:
"This fight is not over. Not for the 1.2 million Americans who are living with HIV right now, not for the Americans who are infected every day. This fight is not over for them. It's not over for their families and as a consequence, it can't be over for anyone in this room."
We're with ya on that, Obama!
