Ever been at a party, maybe a Christmas party, where you decided that it was a good idea to start dancing, but then immediately got really embarrassed by your moves??
We've all been there. Maybe not Usher, but everyone else.
No worries, we've got some advice:
How can I dance to music without getting embarrassed? I love to dance, at home in my bedroom but when I go to a party I mess up and look like a complete idiot - any confidence tips?!
First of all, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. The good thing about dance, is that there really is no right or wrong way to do it. If you spend time in your room practicing, that's where you should be building your confidence. So much of dance, especially hip hop is all about your own individual style, finding your inner groove or swag. It is great to be inspired by others and learn from them, but at the end of the day, it's all about YOU and how you rock your moves. Trust me, others are just as embarrassed, so be the leader, get on the floor and show everyone what your working with.
Fab! We agree with that!
Also, maybe a litmus test would be to dance around with a friend in your room or something — and then gauge their reaction on your swag, especially before you get a little buzzed at the office holiday party! Ha!
