Aw! This is not a fun way to spend the holiday season!
Prince Philip, the 90-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II, is recovering for the second night in Papworth hospital while he recovers from a heart procedure - a coronary stent put in to fix a blocked artery - after experiencing chest pains at his wife's Sandringham estate in Norfolk!
Although the illness - which has yet to be confirmed as a heart attack - put a damper on Kate Middleton's first holiday gathering this weekend - his entire family, including the Queen, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew - all came to his side - either via helicopter or car - and he's said to be "in good spirits, but he is eager to leave," according to a statement from Buckingham Palace!
Unfortunately, he will not be able to attend church Sunday with the rest of his family, but the service will go on as planned!
Poor thing! But we're happy to hear that he's doing better, and that he's had his family to keep him company!
Rest up and feel better! You'll be 100% in no time!
