Floyd Mayweather Jr., who recently plead guilty to beating an ex-girlfriend, will not be starting his 3-month jail sentence as planned.
Instead of starting his time last week like the judge ordered, he'll now be allowed to train for an upcoming Las Vegas fight in May, then head to the slammer on June 1st.
Apparently there is just so much money invested in this fight for the city that justice can wait.
Money trumps the law once again — great message they keep sending. No wonder this guy just can't learn to keep the punches in the ring.
The worst part is that they don't even know who Mayweather is fighting yet! So right now, he's allowed to stay out of jail to train for a fight against an unnamed competitor. Ridiculous.
