The Giants. You know, the ones that play football. Known as The NY Giants. They play and train in New Jersey.
So, understandably, the "NY" part of the Giants moniker doesn't make much sense — and nobody feels more that way than Gov. Chris Christie.
Christie thinks that if the Giants win the Super Bowl that they should have the parade in New Jersey, not New York, because of the obvious.
We're sure people will argue the crap out of this because of that little NY part of the name!
"They play in New Jersey. They train in New Jersey."
To which Matt Lauer responded:
"What's it say on their helmets?"
Honestly, it doesn't make sense to us that they're the NY Giants when they've played and trained in New Jersey since 1976. Can't that state have the victory?
Or, how about a parade in both states? Or go every, other?
Problem solved! No need to thank us!
