Baseball legend Gary Carter has been discovered to have more brain tumors, sadly.
Gary was diagnosed last May with inoperable brain tumors. At 57, he began radiation treatment and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, new tumors were found during an MRI test that was ordered — because Gary fell during a visit to the doctor's office last week.
Recently, Gary had this to say during an interview:
"I'm not feeling too good. It’s been coming on and coming on. I’ve had a chest cold. I’ve got sores in my mouth, blood clots. I get sick. … There’s just so many things. … It's been nine months now and I don’t feel any different from Day One."
Ugh, we are so sad about this!
Gary was inducted into the baseball hall of fame in 2003, and is still way too young to be facing anything like this.
We can only hope that the treatment begins to work soon, and our hearts go out to his family — it was his daughter who wrote about the worsening of the condition.
