Oats are a great food for giving you a long-lasting boost of energy, promoting heart health, and stabilizing blood sugar levels . They are loaded with nutrients including maganese, vitamin B1, selenium, fiber, and phosporus. When selecting an oatmeal, always look for steel-cut or old-fashioned oatmeal. Avoid the instant oatmeal and flavored oatmeal because they have been processed and are typically loaded with sugars and preservatives.
