Boxing legend Angelo Dundee has died at 90.
The Hall of Fame trainer is most famous for guiding Muhammad Ali’s career. He died of a heart attack Wednesday night in Clearwater.
It came as a surprise, but a little one. He had suffered a blood clot returning from Ali's 70th birthday, so he was in a rehabilitation center when he passed — but he was looking good:
“He was recuperating and coming along quite well. He was already making plans to take a trip to Las Vegas for another event in two weeks. Thankfully, the whole family was with him. We have lost a great man."
His career was long and vibrant, lasting more than six decades.
He will be missed.
