Sleep Apnea Stroke

Don't ignore your sleeping problem, because it could be much worse than you think — it could be sleep apnea.

OSA, or obstructive sleep apnea, is super common too. Over 12 million Americans a believed to have the disorder: People with sleep apnea stop breathing for 10 to 20 seconds or longer and this can happen at least 20 to 30 times an hour.

Scary right?

Well now it's linked to silent strokes.

What's a silent stroke?

What’s the difference between a major stroke and a silent stroke? Silent strokes are usually only detected by imaging the brain with an MRI and/or CT scan which can show areas of damage even though the person was not aware of an obvious neurological deficit at the time of the scarring.

Silent strokes are then linked to major strokes.

So we can then link apnea to major strokes, which are debilitating and deadly.

What does this ultimately mean?

It means that if you snore, you should be checked out immediately for OSA. Don't mess around with it.

Besides that, we hear that when properly treated… the night sleep you get on treatment is absolutely incredible if you've been living with OSA.

You don't know what you're missing out on!
