Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has got to be one of the coolest dudes on the planet.
We already loved the guy, but his most recent interview discussing everything from movies to politics, just gave us a few more reasons to hope he lays the smackdown on John Cena at this year's Wrestlemania (Sorry John, but its The Rock!).
First let's start with what he had to say about the young co-stars of his most recent adventure film, Journey 2: Mysterious Island. When the veteran action star was asked what kind of advice he gave to up-and-comer Josh Hutcherson, he shared this bit:
He's poised and he's ready, he's going to have a massive year between "Journey" and a little movie called "The Hunger Games," which I'm not sure if anyone is going to see. Nonetheless, the advice I gave him is this: [clears throat] Whatever you do, do it full speed, remember speed kills — and go f*ck some shit up.
Ha! Wise words we doubt Josh will ever forget for as long as he lives.
The Rock has love for Vanessa Hudgens too, even if it is abundantly obvious he hasn't seen any of the movies that made her famous. When asked what his favorite V-Hudge song was from High School Musical, his first response was, "Uh, what songs does she sing?" LOLz!
After the interviewer named We're All In This Together, The Rock continued:
"OK, then my favorite song is "We're All In This Together." Because as sexy as Vanessa is, it doesn't even matter because we'll be in it together … That doesn't even make sense but as long as you say it confidence and bravado, I think it works."
His no bullshizz attitude is not only HIGHlariously entertaining, but it may be just what this country needs. While his focus is movies right now, he hinted toward a possible political career in the future, saying:
"Right now the best way that I can impact the world is through entertainment. One day, and that day will come, I can impact the world through politics. The great news is that I am American, therefore I can become President."
He's got our vote! We're pretty sure NOBODY would mess with the U.S. if The Rock were running things!
It sounds like any moves toward the White House are still years away, but he is only months away from returning to the ring that started it all. The Rock will wrestle John Cena in Miami on April 1st at WWE's Wrestlemania 28 and has miraculously found time to train for the big match during his almost non-stop production schedule, explaining:
You fit it in, that's what you do. I make sure there's a ring on location with me, anywhere that I shoot. I had a ring down in New Orleans, when I was preparing for the Madison Square Garden event. I have a ring down in Florida, a ring down in Louisiana; there's always a ring close by. In order to prep for WrestleMania, it's a lengthy training camp that requires daily work inside the ring because you can't simulate the physicality of professional wrestling.
Although The Rock's been out of the ring for a while, it sounds like Cena should still be very, VERY worried. When asked if Cena will be in trouble during the highly anticipated match, Rock replied:
"The only trouble he's going to have is removing my size 15 boot from his ladyparts."
LOL! Best. Interview subject. Ever.
