Hilary Duff's Hubby Retires From The NHL!
Everything is falling to place for this adorable couple as they prepare for the arrival of their first child.
After 3 hip surgies in the last 5 years of his 11-year career in the NHL, Mike Comrie is calling it quits!
Hilary Duff's husband announced he is retiring from the sport of hockey. Of the 5 teams he was a part of during his career, he last played for the Edmonton Oilers and says he is grateful for all the friendships he has made during hist time on every team, saying:
"To have made the lasting friendships I enjoy today with so many of my former teammates is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's the reward that has made all the hard work, the trades, the moves and the surgeries worthwhile."
His wife understands this was a big and difficult decision for him, but she sounds happy to know he'll be able to spend more time at home, tweeting:
"Today we are enjoying all the great memories Mike had while playing in the NHL! Now we have a big addition coming to our family!"
We're so happy for this couple and wish them the best as they get ready to welcome their first baby!
