Drugs are horrible, and it's very hard to shake them once they have your claws in you.
Unfortunately, it looks like Tatum O'Neal hasn't been able to shake her habits — and has found herself back in rehab. Which, mind you, is a much better step than ignoring the problem.
She had a complete cocaine relapse last month. She checked in voluntarily.
Here's what the source said:
"Tatum made the decision to voluntarily check into rehab after having a relapse about a month ago when she began using cocaine again. Tatum is doing really, really bad at the facility she is at. Tatum isn't at a 12 step based treatment program, and that is a huge problem because someone with Tatum's addiction needs to be at a rehab facility like Betty Ford or Cirque Lodge which adhere to the 12 step model. Tatum is essentially in denial about how bad her addiction is. Tatum is refusing to embrace the 12 step AA model to get sober.”
That whole family struggles, unfortunately, as her younger brother is in a different facility for heroin at the moment.
We just want them to get better, that's for sure — in whatever way possible. Hopefully her treatment works even if it isn't 12 step based.
We're thinking of you, Tatum!
