Extremely Obese Man Makes Viral Video To Plea For Help

The internet truly does do wonders. Sure, there is a lot of filth and naked celebrity photo leaks floating around, but it also has the power to change lives for the better.

23-year-old Robert Gibbs is one of those people. The 700-pound food addict, who is facing depression and diabetes on top of his weight problem, reached out for help on his birthday a few days ago and has gotten a tremendous response.

His heart-wrenching video instantly went viral and has garnered over 1 million views since March 1st. During his plea, Robert claims he has tried everything in the past and he feels that this is his last option. More importantly, he just wants to live a normal life, saying:

"I'm really scared that I'm not going to be able watch my niece and my nephew grow up and I'm not going to get to have a family of my own. My birthday is tomorrow. I turn 23 and I've never had a life."

Ugh! So sad and so hard to ignore! Thankfully, he spoke and the world listened.

Dozens of news outlets clamored to cover the story and while being interviewed in the news story featured above, Robert got the most important call of his life. Weight loss guru Chris Powell, who specializes in helping the extremely obese, reached out to lend his services.

We're not sure what the future holds for Robert, but hopefully with the help of a fitness expert like Mr. Powell, it will be much healthier.

Remember, as long as your still breathing, it's NEVER too late to ask for help! We're so happy that Robert may be on the path to transforming his life and we wish him the best as he embarks upon the beginning of his journey!
