Scientists have "proven" that women don't like beards — probably because those scientist nerds can't grow one.
We call BS on this. Opinions are opinions, we definitely know ladies who love beards!
Apparently in the study men were rated more highly when they shaved their beards off, and being bearded also made them seem older and more aggressive.
On the flip side, having a beard commands respect, particularly from other males.
So why do men grow beards?
One, they look awesome. Two, it could be a mechanism to protect from sunlight and blows from fists.
Or three, the gross one:
'It is even suggested that a beard is a sign of a strong immune system. The theory goes that disease-carrying parasites thrive in body hair and so if a man can sport a beard without getting ill, he must be extra healthy.'
This is a dumb way to spend research money.
Everyone knows beards are awesome.
Done and done.
