We let you know that both Coke and Pepsi were changing formula — specifically coloring — that would move away from some things that people are claiming causes cancer.
Now, they're speaking up about why they're making the change… even though they don't believe a word anyone is saying about the carcinogens.
Here's what they're saying:
"Consumers will notice no difference in our products and have no reason at all for any health concerns. While we believe that there is no public health risk that justifies any such change, we did ask our caramel suppliers to take this step so that our products would not be subject to the requirement of a scientifically unfounded warning."
Either way you look at it, and for whatever reason they're making the change — it's a good thing.
They avoid their labels and freaked out people can calm down!
