Viewers of The Chew will be seeing a new face on the ABC daytime lifestyle show. Chef Jason Roberts, a celebrity chef who has already found success in Australia, has been recruited as a correspondent.
Executive producer Gordon Elliot calls the new face of food "a welcome addition" to the show and is looking forward to having him join a team of hosts that include Mario Batali, Michael Symon, and Carla Hall.
According to the press release, he'll be mostly traveling to share food-related stories from across the country, but will sometimes appear in the studio.
It's not unusual if you haven't heard of this guy yet, but Jason sounds legit. On top of hosting his own food talk show in Australia in 2005, he's published two cookbooks called Elements and Graze: Lots of Little Meals Fast.
