Running is more popular than ever, and it doesn't look like some fad or quick trend either: Millions of people around the globe have taken to running to stay in shape!
So what is it? What's the big deal?
"It could be the exhilaration of propelling your body through space or the pounding on the ground that sends sensations up your bones, all the way to the pleasure centres in your brain. Or it could simply be the sheer satisfaction of having done something good for yourself. Whatever it is, running can be addictive."
But how do you start, especially if you aren't a runner?
The suggested way is this: give yourself an allocated amount of time. Do a slow run interrupted with a walk repeated for 20 minutes… meaning that when you get out of breath, you slow down and start walking.
Once you've caught your breath, start the run again!
Just because you can't run a mile without getting super winded doesn't mean you can't become a runner!
It's healthy, and all the cool kids are doing it!
