Sarah Jessica Parker will guest host a charity event at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Harry Connick Jr. will be performing at the event.
Ann Lurie, who the hospital is named after, said:
"The goal of the event is to celebrate the completion of the state-of-the-art, 23-story building and to raise an additional $5 million for its fundraising campaign.
Philanthropy is the cornerstone of this endeavor, and when donors see the unique and healing elements of this facility, I hope that they will be as amazed and proud as I am to know they played such a vital role in creating it."
U may be wondering… what do you have to do to get a hospital named after you?
Not much, just donate $100 million to the hospital.
"Those who are joining us at the Gala are individuals who care deeply about the health and well-being of children.
Together, we have helped build a child-friendly facility that is designed to increase patient safety, to accommodate new technology and to make care more efficient for Chicago’s children and their families."
Seeing as how we're sure Sarah Jessica Parker is a fan of the well-being of children, we're sure she'll make a great host.
