Kyle Kennedy speaks out.
Sometimes breast implants have a very specific role in helping a woman feel better about herself — especially if she's had some sort of medical problem or procedure, like a double mastectomy. We just wanna get that out there for those of you that have an unflinching problem with it.
There are times, however, when the procedure is done for not so solid reasons, and that can be regretted later!
"When I say there were many reasons why I removed my implants I mean it. For the past 5 years I wanted to remove them but I did not have the confidence or courage to do it."
Then she said that a bout with cervical cancer had her needing to get in control of her body, and it made her worry about detection:
"Feeling lumps in your breast that need to be biopsied is scary and made me wonder if my implants would make it harder to detect breast cancer… and why take the chance? Removing my implants was a way of me taking back control of MY body physically and mentally. The best part of being in my 40's is that I started to feel more secure with my self and accepting of my body. I now work hard to keep my self healthy with diet and exercise. I love the way I look without my implants and do NOT miss them at all."
We're just glad you're happy and healthy, no matter what you look like or how big your ta-tas are! You are YOU regardless!
