Maybe you or some you know wants to learn how to box, but you're apprehensive.
Maybe it's because you're afraid of trying something new, or maybe you just don't know what to expect!
A FitPerezcious reader wants to know just that:
I want to come to a boxing class but I am unsure of what a typical Boxing class includes? Are you able to give me some insight?
Here's what to expect from Alex Brenes!
Of course. Going to a Boxing class, may often be intimidating for two reasons, the class could be full of nonsense and be nothing like boxing (they will just make you go thru the motions, without teaching you the fundamentals) or it can be the other extreme, just technique and basics and the raw part of the sport, which is not what you are looking for when you look into boxing as a alternative for your day to day workout. You should look for somebody to gradually teach you the basics as your conditioning improves, somebody that understands that you are not boxing for a living, just for fun, but the right way. So, what will this include? Technique, conditioning, speed, endurance and strengthening drills), oh, and a Boxing class shouldn't be typical, each class should be unique! Now go out there and knock-em out…
Hopefully this calms some fears so people can go out and try a fun way to get (or stay) healthy!
