This is incredibly brave!

This. Is. Incredible.
Oscar Pistorius is a double amputee… and he might be the first amputee EVER to make it to the Olympics! He advanced to the 400-meter final at the South African championships on Friday, so that goal of his is one step closer!
He finished FOURTH in 47.9 seconds and seemed content with it — it got him into the finals. In the finals, if we understand this correctly, he needs to run a 45.30 or better for the London Olympics selection!
And guess what? He could totally do it, too. Pistorius began his season with a run of 45.20 in Pretoria, which was his first qualifying time of the season. He only needs the one more.
Not only that, but he's super sweet and humble about it all. Here's what he said about the possibility:
"I'm flirting a little bit with the idea. The team still has to get selected. My job is just to work hard until then and prove I'm in the right condition to be quite a strong 400 meter athlete if I get called up."
It would be such an incredible, inspirational moment to see him compete in the Olympics!
We're wishing you the best, Oscar!
