Uhhhh, who wouldn't want to eat at a Gene Simmons restaurant, if not only for the fact that it was opened by Gene Simmons??
The Rock & Brews restaurant isn't just a place to eat, though, as it's actually been home to some charitable events already!
They had a luncheon to benefit the Wounded Warrior program, where two soldiers with Purple Hearts were presented with a $25,000 check!
The eatery is located both in El Segundo, and also a Delta terminal in LAX. So why El Segundo?
Here's why, according to Gene Simmons:
"They're unqualified to snicker or do much else. They've never done anything. What are their qualifications? What I'm doing here proves to every small town in America that they are every bit as cool as LA and New York. El Segundo, great place to live. Small town America is what it's all about and that's where KISS got big. You wanna bring your dog, your kids? Great! They can have a root beer float and you can choose from 100 craft beers. The brews are local from El Segundo and Van Nuys. We create jobs. This is anti-cool. Cool can go f*** itself."
We're not sure dogs should be having rootbeer floats…. LOLz!
He has a pretty ambitious plan for the chain, too, even if he doesn't consider himself a restauranteur:
"We'll have 50 in under 2 years and my goal is 500 is 5 years. Ask Starbucks — if it's good, we'll have two or three on every corner. And my track record's pretty goddamn good."
Ha! Good luck, Gene!
Now we're hungry, great!
