Ethan Zohn, former Survivor winner, couldn't qualify for the Boston Marathon this year.
As we previously mentioned, Ethan is fighting a return of Hodgkin's lymphoma.
He'll be running on behalf of the charity Zohn co-founded, Grassroot Soccer.
Zohn must be glad his friend is running on his behalf because he said that the stem-cell transplant was "the most grueling test of strength and will that I have ever experienced."
"Every day I woke up afraid that I may not make it out alive. That being said, I have taken that fear and used it to keep me motivated to focus on the positives that have come from my experience.
It's not easy, but I'm getting stronger every day. I may not say it as much as I should, but all the love and support means the world to me."
We're so glad that you're getting better. We hope you pull through this soon.
And don't worry, while you're fighting, your buddy Ryan has got your back.
