Jessie J is certainly busy these days.
She broke her foot back in 2011, just came off a world tour from last year, is working on her new album now and has taken on the role of a judge on the UK version of The Voice.
Many stars have similar schedules but did any of those people have a stroke at age 18??
That's right, when Jessie was 18 she was working four jobs at once!
The stress of it all just caught up with her all at once.
A source close to her said:
"Jessie has a history of medical issues and needs to be monitored. She works incredibly hard not only on 'The Voice' but also promoting her album around the world.
Add that to the grueling touring, personal appearances and recording and it would be a lot for anyone to take. It's not something Jessie really talks about but she still has health check-ups on her condition."
So that's good. At least she's being proactive about her health.
Jessie seemed to take away a good life lesson from her health issues, saying:
"I had, like, four jobs. I was really tired and my body shut down. It made me realize that no matter how much you take care of yourself - I don't drink, smoke or do drugs - you can always have your life taken away. I thought I wasn't able to perform again and that experience taught me that you can't take anything for granted."
Yikes! That's scary!
That's definitely a good way to live your life. Enjoy the good times while you can, because you never know how long they'll last.
Though we're sure Jessie J will be around a long time. The world likes her too much to let her go.
