2012 Olympic Medal Hopeful Outs Stalker On Facebook

Ariane Friedrich is a German high jumper who is expected to have a real shot at winning a medal at the London Summer Games.

She's recently been harassed by a stalker who kept sending her explicit photos of his genitals through Facebook.

Tired of being harassed and offended, she decided to strike back by posting his name and email on Facebook, outing him as a total creep.

Defending her actions, she said:

"I've been offended in the past, sexually harassed and I've had a stalker before. It's time to act, it's time to defend myself. And that's what I'm doing."

After she outed the man, there was a lot of backlash for her doing so. In Germany, the names of criminal offenders aren't released to the media.

She said:

"The removal of anonymity is a means to clarify. Just think of all the children, young people and adults who are secretly harassed by perverts and don't know what to do or how to defend themselves. Should we not go forward as a good example and demonstrate strength?"

If some creep is lurking in the shadows, harassing you, then shine a light on him.

We think you did the right thing and we hope your stalker is embarrassed enough to leave you alone now.
