Some people may consider Eli Manning's personality to be boring compared to his outgoing brother Peyton, but he's aiming to prove those critics wrong when he hosts Saturday Night Live this weekend.
In fact, he just shot a new DirecTV commercial with Deion Sanders last week. The Hall of Famer praised Eli for his "hilarious" comedic timing which shined throughout the shoot, saying:
“He really is hilarious, man. I can see what they’re saying now. His timing is impeccable. He’s hilarious. He’s a professional. He threw some one-liners out there that are really going to take this commercial to another level.”
The younger Manning is prepping for the sketch show as we
speak write and it sounds like he may have a lot of material to draw from. Especially considering everyone from his salsa dancing teammate Victor Cruz to his old college buddies are pitching ideas, as Eli told sources:
“My college buddies keep saying ‘This is something that’s funny that happened to us. You should bring that in. Some of them might be good suggestions. A lot are not.”
Ha! We can only imagine, but are excited to see what kind of outlandish situations the show's writers will place him in.
Tune in this Saturday to see how the NFL star does on SNL when he hosts with Rihanna performing as the musical guest!
