The New Jersey Nets are no more.
Ever since the team's move from New Jersey to New York became official today, they have unveiled their new logo and their new name, the Brooklyn Nets.
It is supposed to resemble an old '50s looking design. It is black and white, very plain, unlike many other teams, such as the Lakers.
New Jersey Brooklyn Nets CEO Brett Yormark said in a release:
"Our black and white colors speak to Brooklyn's strong traditions and grittiness and convey an uncompromising confidence."
Jay-Z, as a part-owner, must be proud.
The team's new uniforms won't be made public until the fall.
We'll be interested to see what they look like, probably all cool and black.
