As we previously mentioned, Junior Seau, ex-football great, has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
Holly Robinson Peete, whose husband, Rodney, played at USC with Seau, said:
"Paralyzed with grief over the loss of our dear friend Junior Seau… Husband devastated. I just don't want to believe it. Loved him…."
Even Nick Lachey tweeted:
"So sad to hear about junior seau's passing. I loved him as a Trojan (Usc player) and got to know him a little over the years. Great guy. rip"
Another celeb, Gabrielle Union, had met him while on a shoot in San Diego, said:
"Deepest sympathies go out 2 the family, friends & fans of Junior Seau …great guy who made the 'Bring it On' cast at home at his restaurant 'Seaus' in SD."
It's so sad when someone takes their own life, but this has certainly shined a light on the true consequences of NFL head injuries.
We hope his family is comforted in knowing their son was so loved by so many.
