Connecticut will soon join the District of Columbia and 16 other states who have already legalized medical marijuana.
The Connecticut Senate just passed a bill legalizing weed for medical purposes.
The state senators voted 21-to-13 to pass the bill after almost ten hours of debate.
Connecticut's Democratic governor, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, supported the measure and is expected to sign it into law.
