Here's an interesting fact about Babe Ruth's house: it's now on the market for a price that is MORE than the baseballer made during his entire career. $1.65 million!
The house is the one he lived in after he had been sent to the New York Yankees. It's referred to as Home Plate Farm.
It's 5,000-square-foot, has five-bedrooms, and 3 1/2-bathrooms. It sits on a two-acre plot, and has had extensive renovations since the 1920s. Those things changed include a chef's kitchen, and vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom.
Not all has changed, though, as one room is claimed to have burn marks on the floor from Babe's cigar ashes. Oh, and it has a 5,000-square-foot barn with stables, office space, garage bays and a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bathroom.
If this property were in El Lay, it'd be worth MILLIONS more for all of that stuff!
The previous owners have lived there for 30 years, and are probably moving on because 30 years with Babe Ruth's ghost is just TOO MUCH! LOLz! We kid!
They probably are tired of being bugged by people stopping to look at the house as fans. We would be too!
Are U going to make an offer??
