Has everyone seen the Michael Jordan commercial (above) for Gatorade?
The one where he's suffering from flu but played through a playoff game anyway?
They make it look like it's the Gatorade that helped him through the game.
"The Jordan Ad openly promotes engaging in vigorous physical activity while suffering from a very high fever, in Jordan's case 103 degrees. It is a generally recognized safety principle that teens and even professional athletes suffering from a severe fever and flu-like symptoms should not engage in vigorous physical activity."
The group even went back to archival footage and watched the game and said they saw no instance of him drinking gatorade to get through the game.
They also said Gatorade changed around the sequence of events to make it look like he got better the more Gatorade he had.
The FTC hasn't decided whether they're going to investigate or not.
We're pretty sure it's common knowledge that if you have a fever of 103, you shouldn't be pushing yourself too hard. At 103, we're not sure we'd even be able to STAND let alone play professional sports.
