Any Olympic fans who missed getting tickets for the London Games can breathe a sigh of relief because nearly ONE MILLION tickets are going on sale this week!
An organizing committee chairman said:
"We know thousands of sports fans were disappointed when they missed out in the initial sales period because of the massive demand for tickets. We promised we would prioritize these fans when we released the contingency tickets, which is exactly what we are doing."
The tickets will go on sale HERE starting at 11 a.m. on Friday.
What's great is there are 5,000 tickets for the opening ceremony, 5,000 for the closing ceremony and another 5,000 for the men's 100-meter final which is expected to feature Usain Bolt.
We bet the 100-meter tickets will sell out within seconds!
"Hundreds of thousands of people could be hitting the website. There is potentially going to be some slowing within the ticketing process, consistent with putting on sale an event of a major artist like Madonna or Lady Gaga."
8.8 million tickets were already sold last year with 75% of the tickets going to the British public.
So if you plan on being in the UK this summer and wanna go to the Olympics, you better get ready for the mad rush of a ticket sale this Friday!
Best of luck.
